For Justice!
I love the narration during the Shark Week shows. There's always at least one gem like, when describing a massive feeding frenzy, "This is the most dangerous time for divers." Oh really? Thank you, magical narrator! I was going to dive into the next whirling maelstrom of teeth I saw, but you've convinced me otherwise!

We finally, finally got to see my Watchmen: Director's Cut yesterday! Some scattered reactions:
1) Everyone has their favorite extended/deleted scene, but for me nothing is going to top Rorschach being all "For justice!!!!!!" in the expanded Crimewatchers scene. It even beats the lapel-smoothing immediately after. (Oh, Dan)
2) I really wish they'd been able to fit Laurie's scenes into the theatrical release. It makes her arc so much smoother, and gives the "It must be nice to have a secret identity" conversation a lot more meaning.
3) "Sometimes the night is generous to me." One of my favorite scenes of the GN, and I'm so glad they filmed it.
4) Oh, Hollis. How sweet was it that he called up Sally all, "Hey, did you see our kids on the news?" And then that happens, which I am not prepared to speak about.
5) I loved Rorschach pulling Dan off of the Knot-Top in the bar, and the soft, "You with me, Daniel?" in the next scene. There were a lot more little Dan&Rorschach moments than I'd expected.
6) I actually shouted, "Children! Stop!" at the screen when Rorschach and Laurie were bickering at each other after the prison break. Rorschach, Dan can love you both. Seriously.

Staying home from work on a sick day isn't nearly as much fun when you're actually sick. Blarg.
