Oh, man. Rorschach is so twisted up when it comes to sex he makes this so hard.:) (I don't actually ship him with anyone. I've said before that I think he actually loves Dan too much to think of him that way.)

1. My OTP for them: Rorschach/Dan If Rorschach was going to have sex with anyone, it's going to be Dan. It's not even a discussion.

2. Runner-up pairing: Rorschach/Ozymandias Something can repel and attract at the same time. He and Adrian have a very interesting dynamic, especially if you work with the interpretation that some of his feelings on homosexuality stem from self-loathing. Of all of them they're the two who most idealize justice, even if though have wildly different views of what the word means. Like Rorschach, Adrian's "real face" is his mask; there's no reason for him to be in costume when they confront him in Karnak, which makes me think that to him it isn't a costume anymore. When Rorschach wants to put on a disguise, he takes off the mask, not the other way around, while Adrian plays dress up by putting on a power suit and smiling for reporters. Add in the extreme differences in lifestyle and there's an intriguing push-pull between them.

3. Honourable mention(s): Rorschach/Comedian I actually see this much more easily pre-Roche. Comedian is a war hero and it's clear Rorschach looks up to him to a certain extent. It's not hard to imagine Eddie finding that flattering.

4. Crack pairing(s): Rorschach/Sally This is purely Rorschach and his mommy issues.:) And another case of repel/attract.

5. Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: Rorschach/Laurie It's not everyone, but there's a fair amount out there. I can't see it, not as a pairing unto itself, even in something like an AU where Dan dies (although I would be much more likely to read that than a fic set in canon). The only way I can parse it is if it's all about Dan, and then it's still really Dan/Rorschach with Laurie as a proxy.

1. I actually agree. I don't really ship them from canon... I just read a DanRor fic that was really good and imprinted.

5. I agree with this too. There's some good OT3 fics that make it believable, but that's the only way it works for me.
