[livejournal.com profile] kalichan gave me: Top Five Moments in Canon Where You Would Have Gone Differently. And I've tried to stick to moments, because I could fill up a general "What you would do differently list" with Smallville examples alone.:)

The Matrix: When a supposed-to-be-powerless Neo does his thing at the end of Reloaded, I would extend the scene slightly by having Morpheus or Trinity state the obvious conclusion (the one everyone in the audience came to): "There's another Matrix." End of movie. Then Revolutions deals with the fallout that Zion and everything else they thought was "real" was just another program meant to catch that .01% the regular Matrix couldn't statisfy and the fight to free themselves from that.

Deadwood: In the last season Morgan and Wyatt Earp blow into town and immediately start causing trouble with the Pinkertons (who are in Hearst's pocket), including one scuffle that almost leads to guns being drawn. I would have made that a full-fledged fight, with Morgan and possibly Wyatt taking hits (but obviously not dying:). Virtually alone in hostile territory, and told that any new Earps seen in town get arrested on sight, Wyatt sends out a telegram. A few days later rides in a furious Doc Holliday rides into town, loaded for bear and playing for blood.

Heroes: The shooter at wouldn't have been future!Peter --- it would have been Noah, shooting on Company orders.

Angel: In Not Fade Away, Lorne would have told Angel, "No, get someone else to do your dirty work," and walked out of the show with his head held high. (I have never been as disappointed in a fictional character as I was in Angel in that episode.)

Voyager: The descision to separate Tuvix would never have been made, it being the murder of a sentient being and all. Oh, Voyager. There's another show I could fill up a whole list with. (Let's not even get into the whole alterna-Harry fiasco!).
