I've been reduced to threats and blackmail.

Before we get started: The 50 Cutest Things That Ever Happened. Although it needs more Maru and Thorgi.

So there's an unpopular fandom opinion meme going around, where you give a fandom and I (or, you know, whoever's doing the meme) give an unpopular opinion about that fandom but I don't actually think I have that many unpopular opinions? So I'm going to alter the deal (pray I don't alter it further!) and just make my unpopular fannish confession and invite you all to do the same? Cool? Cool.

Okay, my unpopular fannish opinion: I really liked S6 of Supernatural. Seriously. Not as much as S4 or S5 (my fannish sweet spots), but as much as S3 and actually a smidge more than S2. I really dug the way they structured it, with all the red herring plots while the Civil War/Purgatory overplot chugged along in the background until it exploded. It was dark and ambitious the way S6 of Buffy was dark and ambitious (something else the majority of fandom hated that I loved, so I just might not be a reliable source). I'm not saying the season didn't have problems - the Campbell arc in particular had pacing issues (I think I've said before that what that arc really needed was an episode where Cas got fed up with Samuel being a distracting irritant and threw him into an AU where his scheme worked and he got Mary back, just so he can finds out what a bad idea that would be) but I loved that season 1000% more than most of SPN fandom. The gut punch reveal at the end of Mommie Dearest is one of my favorite scenes of the series.

So that is my shameful fandom opinion!:) Tell me yours! (Or if you still want to do the original meme, give me a fandom and I'll see if I have an unpopular opinion to share. Or I'll make one up.:))

Fine, story, be that way. I'll just go make Clint sad until you decide to behave.

I think Ruby actually did care for Sam. Her last speech, she's bragging, but she's also trying to make Sam feel better. She cared for him, but that didn't stop her using him to free Lucifer; the two are not mutually exclusive.

You got any unpopular White Collar opinions?

I never got the hating on Ruby. She was pretty awesome to pull all that off.

I loved Kate. I don't believe for a second she's actually dead.

yessss! I think she saw Sam in the same way Lucifer did - as a great well of untapped potential - and that, on top of that, she grew to care for him.

Yes, exactly. At the beginning it was probably straight manipulation, but someone who didn't care about Sam wouldn't have bothered telling him how he was going to be rewarded and stuff.

yessss.

Avengers: the entire second half? I had flashbacks to 9/11 (ymmv? tmi?)

Cloverfield actually did that to me, although I'm pretty sure it's supposed to. (I've always read that movie as being about 911 the way Gojira is about atomic bomb, if that makes any sense.)

The Avengers fighting aliens in the streets of NYC is such a thing in the comics that I knew it would be in the movie. I was better prepared to see it.

I still need to see Cloverfield. And, yes, that makes perfect sense on the Gojira=atomic bomb allusion.

It's one thing to see attacks on NYC on the comic page. I guess it's another to see it on the big screen with sound and everything :/ boy was I grateful for Whedon's fight-and-quip action scene style. The Hulk made me laugh a couple times, so did Cap + the NYC cop. It distracted me from depressing thoughts.

OMG that list is ADORABLE.

omg I love that episode idea. And the list.

But I sort of fail when it comes to a fandom unpopular opinion. Uh...if there's a character most of fandom hates, I will tend to like them anyway.
