As some of you may have heard, ABC has decided to cancel All My Children and One Life to Live, a decision that fills me with so much rage I can barely string words together. Putting aside that these are shows that have been airing since before I was born and that I've been watching, in the case of OLTL, since I was ten, and let's also putting aside yet another sign that the TV industry cares so little for serialized storytelling, especially serialized storytelling traditionally aimed at women, that it's willing to cancel programs that have left deep marks on television history in favor of reality garbage that no one will remember five seconds after it airs, this is a potentially disastrous culling of one of the proven training grounds for young actors.

I've watched All My Children since I was a kid but we all got in to One Life To Live a few years back when they had that whole baby-swapping crossover.

It's just so stupid that one of the reasonings I heard was 'people want more talk shows'. Uhh, not everyone! I don't give two shits about talk shows, I want my soaps.

It seems the only soap we have left to watch now is Coronation Street. The rage felt around the world if ITV ever cancels that.

I did my taxes wrong somehow! I know right? the freaking EZ form too! I was chagrined and also terrified that many IRS agents where going to come to my house. But I just got a letter saying "where is this form?" and had to write one back saying, "oh, my mistake. Never mind where I said you needed that form" and that was it. I'm getting my refund later then I was hoping because of it, but on the other hand, they decided not to take any of my organs or anthing.

I can't help with the Mandarin. Firefly crossover?

I threw $30 at Turbotax because I just could not figure out the state form. And I tried! I even knew what the refund should be and tried to work my way back, but it just kept turning into Klingon.
