I loved the finale. I really, really did.

No other thoughts today. Thoughts tomorrow. Love today.

Once he's ready to move on, Ben will be the new Desmond for everyone who wasn't in the church: Walt, Michael, Ana-Lucia, Miles, everyone. Waking them up when needed, bringing them to the church, all of that. He'll be leader of the Others again.

oh my god almost everything about Ben just about broke my heart in this episode

He's finally getting a chance to do things right on the Island, and from alt-Hurley's line before he went in the church ("You were a good number two"), it looks like he did. ;_;

The look on his face when Hurley asked him to stick around and help almost broke me. All he wanted his entire life was to be special, for someone to tell him he was worthy, and now here was Hurley giving him that without Ben even having to plot and scheme for it.

Do you think Hurley taught Ben how to golf? I want fic where Hurley teaches Ben how to golf.

Now this makes me feel much better. I really love the thought of a fully redeemed Ben working to help everyone who's still in the sideways purgatory world. Excellent.
