Coulson was the king of bland, meaningless smiles. Clint had been talked at by a lot of spies and bureaucrats in his day and all of them tried that trick but Coulson was the first one who could really do it without giving anything away. He didn't know what the guy did day to day when he wasn't following him all over the globe but he bet Coulson was damn good at it.

I will never, ever get enough of "Coulson recruiting Clint into SHIELD" fic. It is my very favorite.

So there was realistically no way I wasn't signing up for hc_bingo, especially since there was universal amnesty for my utter failure in round 3. (Not that it was a total failure - Contingencies and Guide You Home both came from that card - but I never made a bingo and I completely forgot about amnesty. /o\)

Man, I suck at posting everyday.

Hello all! Today I was totally an adult and mailed in my taxes (and crossed myself when I dropped them in the box that I didn't screw something up - I was thisclose to forgetting I had to put the sections of the W2 in the envelope.) Of course, I can't get too excited about the refund because the last time I took Lexi to the vet I found out that her mouth was apparently filthy filthy filth filth and needs a cleaning that should cost in the range of $500+ to $800+. Because veterinary dentistry tools are gold plated and forged with the tears of enslaved pixies.

(Actually because cats need to knocked out for tooth cleaning, because these are vets, not masochists.)

I'll start the TV meme back up tomorrow. Tonight is for TV catching up (are you watching Hannibal? You should be! And even if you're not, are you reading cleolinda's recaps? You should be!) (omg, last week's Doctor Who! ( Read more... ) and finishing the Arrow fic no one will ever read and then flailing around some more at my spn_j2_bigbang fic. (and fic reading for grasshopr_molly!)

So much fun with this last year. All of the fun of a comment ficathon with a super teeny tiny commitment.

(And a special enticement (maybe?) to Arrow fans: I am pledging right now to fill any and all* Slade/Ollie prompts to this. Because dammit, it's hiatus and we need to get our fic on before canon inevitably does what canon does.)

Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show

I'm really forgiving of shows I love. There are episodes of Supernatural and Doctor Who I love more than others but I've never felt like an episode was a complete waste of time. There's always one scene, a great line, something that saves it (I mean, the ghost truck episode is no one's favorite but I miss conversations that didn’t start with “this killer truck” is fantastic.) So those two are out. And the episodes of BSG the fandom tends to disdain, like the black market episode or the union strike episode were the ones I really liked because I was much more watching the humans rebuild their society than the Cylon politics.

Love the first season of B5, even the episodes that are admittedly super clunky.

Even the series finale of Smallville which I 95% hated hated hated had that one perfect scene.

So like I said, I'm pretty easy going. It's not hard for me to find something to love in even subpar episodes.

Except for the $#&^$# tattoo episode of Lost. Toss that into the fire and watch it burn.

(Special runner up for every time Q showed up on Voyager. Seriously, the hell was that?)

Bills are piling up and creditors are calling but Dean knows that if he could just push a little bit harder, find a few more hours in the day he could turn it around. In fact, there's a restoration job in the shop right now that would go a long way toward solving his problems. Unfortunately, the due date is the next morning and Dean knows there's not a chance in hell of him finishing on time.

But when he wakes up the next morning the car is perfect. This becomes a pattern, Dean waking up in the morning to find work he'd left undone finished overnight until his curiosity gets the better of him; he stakes out the shop one night and finally discovers the identity of his mysterious assistant: a beautiful, winged – and naked – elf calling himself Castiel. As the two of them start working together the curiosity turns to fascination and finally to something more but there are words Castiel can't say and choices he can't make – not without consequences Dean can't understand. An AU based on the fairy tale "The Elves And The Shoemaker."
