I love this Dean. The thought that there is a point at which Dean would see reverting to the torturer an acceptable plan of action- it's something I agree with. The Alastair memories and childhood memories mixing to come to the same conclusion are a piece of genius.
The way you portray RoboSam is perfect too, and despite his lack of conscience he is very likeable. Of course that lack of soul is useful for Dean here and a situation where Dean and RoboSam can bond over something makes me smile.
This is all just awesome. I get that this is probably supposed to be sad or disturbing- and it is, but it just makes me happy and warm. Thank you for writing this amazing thing!
