I saw John Glover kiss another man!

...in The Paris Letter. What? *g* Oh, like it's hard to find scenes of JG kissing boys.
Silliness aside, the play was very good. JG was wonderful of course, wrenching and funny and chilling in the final scene. The entire cast was very good; I especially liked the actors playing young Anton and Sandy. And on a purely shallow level, young Anton stretched out on the couch flirting with witty banter was very hot.
flyingpinkbunny unearthed an ancient
marysues post (the very first one I ever made, in fact), reminding me of just how odd that particular Sue was (an Iron Chef Sue. Yes, I know). I'm still quite proud of myself for finding that fic.
I got this idea for a Holmes/Monk crossover (shush! It works!), and the middle section is driving. me. crazy. It's not a long fic, but Holmes is supposed to pick up on a clue to help Monk with a case, and I can't for the life of me figure out what it could be. I've worked it out that the case involves a corrupt principal killing a young teacher who refused to fudge grades, putting the school in grant trouble, but after that I stall. It would have to be something that Holmes would pick up on that Monk might miss; maybe something with handwriting. Gah. This is why I don't write mysteries.
But dammit, I like this idea. It's interfering with the world-building I'm supposed to be doing; I want to write this cute little story, then I can settle down to gods and backstory. And maybe House porn. And that Thrawn/Pellaeon story. Definitely the Thrawn/Pellaeon story.
