That was beautiful! I've always had a very big shaving kink in real life and love reading fics about it. It's such an intimate thing and doesn't have to be sexual, so I can't even say I just love shaving because I'm all kinky :)
The trust involved, the closeness, a manipulation of another person's body (that isn't scarring)... it's very underrated IMNSHO, especially for something that has the potential to show so much emotion, comfort, familiarity, love of all kinds.
I also really enjoy fics that allow Cas to reassure Dean. I apologize for getting all philosophical here, but so many people see black and white, right and wrong, evil and good.
Supernatural is one of a few shows/movies I've really appreciated for tackling this issue because it takes a character who isn't an angel figuratively and has rough edges, thinks poorly of himself and yet was given a huge privilege, was saved from hell by an angel and is used in a way that wasn't just offered to everybody.
If a person is good deep down and has good motives, even if they fuck up, it doesn't damn them completely.
I also really love that Cas has seen everything of Dean and I get a kick out of it when fics mention that. I love it when Cas mentions it almost offhandedly (since he probably knows Dean has a hard time hearing it) and with total faith that Dean is a good guy.
