I don't even know where to start. My number one issue with High School AUs (even if I love them) is Cas's characterization. I really have problems with wilting flower Cas. Your Cas? Perfect. Strong, smart, confused, awkward (without exaggeration) part of a huge family of dicks and different from them. Dean is perfect too. His freak out was amazingly written. And the way he dealt with the things that happened was extremely in character. Sam was awesome, and I love awesome Sam. I loved Anna too. Big sister Anna who helps Cas through his doubts is always a plus. And John, I really liked John. He wasn't the big bag of shit some fics make him be, but he also wasn't too nice. And the plot is great! I love how it was conducted and all the canon parallels. Just, amazing fic! It is in my favorite's list!
