I like that. Of course Cas wouldn't forgive them, but they know that. They might be able to get through to him eventually.

Of course he was. Dean knows what he's doing - Alastair doesn't pick apprentices who aren't good at their jobs.

My question is: which is worse? For Dean to hold on to the lie to the bitter end, or for him to admit it? I lean towards the former being worse, but I'm not sure.
