It astonishes and humbles me that he died only a handful of years older than I am now. Somehow it seems that someone who accomplished so much should have lived so much longer than 39 years.

I marvel at the power of one life.

Rest in peace, Dr. King. May we achieve the dream.

I remember when Obama first announced his run. My mother was saying how she remembered Dr. King making his famous "I have a dream" speech, and she couldn't believe that the two events could happen in the same lifetime. It's amazing.
