misachanI changed the sheets on the bed, took the old ones down the basement to the washing machine and by the time I got back up the stairs Lexi was stretched out on the bed all Ahhhhhhhhhh. T shirt material sheets from Target: Cat approved.
Day 05 - A show you hate
I don't hatewatch as a general rule but my God, did I hate the recent reboot of V. Haaaaaaated it, and I wanted to like to so much because I loved the original. And it had Morena Baccarin and Alan Tudyk and Elizabeth Mitchell! I like all those people! How bad can it really be?
So, so bad. Glacial pace plotting, sets so badly CGIed you could practically see the pixels, a human rebellion so inept they would be laughed out of a Syfy original movie and set in NYC despite having a cast so white there were two black characters. And one of them was actually a lizard alien.
Bah.
Honorable mention to American Diggers, which I haven't actually seen but hate in solidarity withpeachpai. And apparently there's a spin off now? Whatever, Spike.

Frommorganoconner: WIP buttkick: these are titles/brief descriptions of my active WIPs. Pick one and I'll write you 100 or more new words for it. Or give a sneak peek, since I'm all ~deadline panic~ this weekend. Order is completely arbitrary.
Note: Does not include fics already signed up for challenges (so adding those would make thisan even 20 21. Missed one.) I'm defining WiP here as something I have a file for or went to the trouble of outlining. Which I have apparently done a lot, because Long List Is Long. Mostly SPN and some Avengers, which one lonely Heroes fic because I will write that some day.
1) Tangled Up In You - SPN, Dean/Cas - Cas misfired while time traveling during Song Remains The Same and meets 17-year-old Dean, if "meet" is defined by "save from a shifter and then promptly pass out."
2) Untitled - SPN, S4 AU Dean/Cas - Dean and Sam find out that the "angel" case from S2 actually did have an angel behind it when Cas and Uriel show up demanding assistance bringing their rogue brother in. Things quickly unravel from there. Where I stole the Cas-in-Dean's-head idea for Possession.:)
3) Untitled - SPN S6 AU Dean/Cas - The war in heaven goes bad and Cas falls in battle - and afterward Dean is so busy throwing himself into booze and hunting that it takes a while that he's aquired a new, trenchcoated shadow. From a Everlasting Birthday Fest prompt I missed and desperately wanted.
4) Untitled - Avengers MCU Clint/Coulson - Pre-canon fic about Coulson's repeated attempts to sell Clint on joining SHIELD. Five things fic, kind of sort of.
5) Revelations In The Light Of Day - Avengers/SPN crossover, Clint/Coulson/Natasha - Angel!Clint, set directly after the movie. An absolutely distraught Clint brings Coulson back and the chain of events eventually kicks off Ragnarok. As you do.
5) Untiled - Avengers/SPN crossover, Clint/Coulson/Natasha - Angel!Clint and SHILED in the 2014!verse timeline.
6) Untitled - SPN/Left 4 Dead 2 crossover, Ellis/Nick & Dean/Cas - The L4D2 crew stumble across a barely alive 2014!verse Cas and fix him him up, only for things to go real south real fast when it comes out that ten years before Nick made a crossroads deal and it's come due. After the hellhounds come Cas tells the rest of the group how they can save Nick for ulterior motives of his own.
7) Untitled - Heroes, Peter/Claude - Claude in the Five Years Gone timeline
8) Dragged Into The Light - Avengers/SPN crossover, Clint/Coulson/Natasha - Sequel to Follow You Into The Dark. The rest of the team finds out the truth about the whole dying and going to hell thing. Due to Hell time not lining up perfectly with Earth time it turns out Clint's stay in the Pit involved Dean in the worst possible way. The team takes all this exactly as well as you'd expect.
9) Atheists In Foxholes - SPN S6 AU, backround Dean/Cas but mostly gen - John runs into Castiel while looking for Mary in Heaven and gets dragged into an unwinnable war for the second time in his life. Or whatever this is he has now. Also has the Harvelles!
10) Untitled - SPN, Gen - Jimmy and Jo met up in afterlife limbo and try to fight fate.
11) Untitled - SPN, S5 AU, Cas/Jo - Abandon All Hope AU where things go very differently and Cas and Jo are the only ones who walk away.
12) Untitled - Avengers MCU Clint/Coulson pre-slash - Clint's first year at SHIELD
13) Untitled - SPN S4 AU, Dean/Cas/Anna - The angels take just long enough to Cas to have second thoughts in When The Levee Breaks and tell Anna to run - so of course they take him instead. Cue Dean and Anna storming Heaven to get him back.
14) Inheritance - SPN S7 AU, Claire/Ben - Where Claire and Ben meet in college. And Ben thought he had secrets.
15) Untitled - SPN AU (kind of), Dean/Cas - An AU where Dean is a vice cop who busts up a trafficking ring and winds up bonding with the only surviving victim. Only it's not that simple. Technically goes AU after Song Remains The Same, although by the time Dean finds that out it's already too late. From a prompt was cruelly beaten to in thedc_dystopia comment meme. Maybe next round.
16) Untitled - SPN, Dean/Cas - Future fic; Castiel is fallen and all but human, aside from not aging. The only problem is that Dean still does. From adc_dystopia prompt I did get to claim and I'm still poking at.
17) Untitled - SPN AU, Dean/Cas - AU where John dies when Dean is sixteen and Dean does everything he can to keep Sam fed and with a roof over their heads, up to and including hustling. The angels know that even though the timeline has changed Dean is still important and send Castiel to keep an eye on him. This all goes about as well as you'd expect. Dark stuff, so also a good Dystopia candidate.

18) Untitled - SPN AU, Dean/Cas - The fighting in the War goes seriously bad and Cas is faced with a fall-or-die choice. Only instead of falling and being reborn, Cas manages to get himself inserted into the Winchester family, Dawn-from-Buffy style. Past life bleed guarantees this causes problems. The fic that showed me I really cannot just write Dean and Cas platonically, even when really I want to.
