Summary: Section 15.03 of every SHIELD agent's manual of rules and regulations outlines the official policy on fraternization, specifically the kind between handlers and field agents under their authority – in short, don't. Clint, Coulson and Natasha have been dancing all over that particular rule for years now, trusting that the combination of caution and exemplary job performance would quiet any whispers.

They're wrong. Clint and Natasha find themselves sitting through a series of interrogations as they try to thwart an investigation that's supposedly for their own good - and if lying and putting on a good show aren't enough, well, then they're just going to have to get a little more proactive. Set between Iron Man 1 & 2 and guest stars Doc Samson; features some violence, some sex and SHIELD agents being absolute stone cold badasses.

( Clint's head ached. He didn't know what idiot junior agent they'd had in charge of the artillery and he had half a mind to put in an official inquiry to find out. )

I want a story about Clint and Bullseye sniper dueling across Manhattan, specifically the Crazy!Irish!Bullseye from the Ben Affleck Daredevil movie, but I don't want to have to watch it again to write it myself. Anyone else want to jump on that grenade?

Because really, that needs to happen. Especially with movieverse all but saying that Clint used to be an assassin the two of them are such mirrors of each other, good vs evil, bow vs rifle, the two best marksmen in the world trying to land that perfect shot to take the other down. Hell, Clint probably ran with Bullseye in his previous life, adding that little personal oomph to things: that was him, once upon a time. Might still be him, if a couple of decisions had gone the other way.

And of course Bullseye gets to mix business with pleasure because that can't really be Barton gone soft, can it? And if Barton really does think he's better than his old running buddy Lester now, well, Bullseye can show him how wrong he is.

And it's so versatile! Set it post-movie and Bullseye can be hired by an old employer who's spotted Hawkeye on TV and sees a chance to get a little revenge, or even someone who lost a loved one to Loki's rampage, doesn't care (or know) Clint was mind controlled and is rich enough to hire Bullseye to make him pay for Loki's sins.

Or set it pre-canon and have AIM or whoever decide to strike back against SHIELD by assassinating key personnel and when Bullseye gets hired to take out Coulson (and probably Fury too, but first things first) he decides to have some fun with the assignment, placing the shot so it's not immediately lethal - if Clint wants to save him he has to chase Bullseye and win. If Bullseye wins, he goes back and finishes the job, same if Clint cheats and tries to call in SHIELD reinforcements. They used to be evenly matched - Bullseye wants to see if Clint can still take him now that he's decided to be all good. And of course if Clint takes too long....

(Added bonus would be Nat trying to keep Coulson alive while they're waiting to see if Clint can win, especially if it's early-ish in her SHIELD tenure and even she's not sure where her loyalties lie. Because OT3 of my heart.)

So yeah. Someone should do that.

I'm terrible at making icons. If it needs more technical prowess than cropping and throwing on a filter it's completely beyond me, so if any of you wonderful people can tell me where I might beg or borrow icons of the following I would be ridiculously grateful:

1) Jaqen H'ghar

Not that I don't love my Dany icon, but a man should have an icon, shouldn't he?

2) A solid Clint/Coulson/Natasha icon. (not necessarily shippy, but definitely all three of them together.)

They are the OT3 of my heart, you guys. It's been forever since a ship ran me over like this (believe it or not, Dean/Cas was a much slower burn.) And not to say I don't love Clint/Coulson on its own, because I do very very much (and Clint/Nat, too!) but the three of them together just sings. Clint and Nat need each other because they see the darkness in each other and understand it, and they need Phil because he sees the darkness in them, doesn't understand it, and loves them anyway. The three of them together just make me all kinds of the happy.

3) AU fic where Dean is a carpenter making a special order for a very demanding client. (my deancasbigbang. I've rambled about this one before.)

4) Someone slips up and SHIELD Internal Affairs hears whispers that Coulson is sleeping with his agents, forcing Clint and Nat to figure out what to do.
