Why don't they just call the show So You Think You Can Contemporary Dance and be done with it? Why tease the audience by even letting other styles into the top 20? If Iveta, the number one ranked ballroom dancer in the country, can't get past the first elimination, what hope is there for the rest of them?

Ryan's jazz number was a MESS. A mess! No connection, tons of mugging, no characters yet she gets to stay. And don't tell me it's not because she's 19 and blonde and dances the favored style.

Ugh! *throws up hands*

I agree SFM with this comment. I was honestly angry last night because I felt like Iveta had personality and style and KNEW HOW TO TELL A FUCKING STORY WHEN SHE DANCED, and should've totally stayed, based on the solos alone, over Ryan. But Nigel has his favorites and he'll do whatever he has to to keep them in. Including making the competition *less* diverse.

All I wanted was for Iveta to get to all-star week so she could dance with Pasha. She's not contemporary so I knew she would't win, but was that really so much to ask?

I was SHOCKED when the judges fell all over each other praising the jazz routine. I thought it was easily the weakest of the night.
