Hello all!

I know I owe meme responses! Most of the past week has been consumed with trying to finish a fic that ballooned 3K longer than I thought it would be and frankly kicked my butt, but it's in the wise custody of

aerilex and she'll let me know whether there's anything worth salvaging or if the whole thing should be set on fire. ("Kill it with fire" is generally my knee-jerk response the first time I reread something just finished. I'm sure some of you can empathize.) Either way, there will definitely be fic Saturday.

On a slightly related note but not really, my sister is celebrating becoming a Master of Science (that is legit what is printed on her diploma) by declaring JuNoWriMo (since she was knee-deep in her thesis last November and couldn't participate then) and I'm trying it with her, since I want to be a supportive big sister and I'm signed up for All The Challenges OMG. I've never managed to make it to 50K any of the previous times I've attempted and there's a very good chance I'll end the month an incoherent wreck. Just as a warning.

(On an actually related note, it's almost the time for me to be harassing a couple of you with carpentry questions. Please still be friends with me when the month is over.)

So I was pondering one of my more problematic kink_bingo squares (the mechanical/technology one, a kink I know I can write but was giving me fandom-related agita) but over the weekend an idea hit me that is either a brilliant fix or the stupidest thing ever conceived.

Possibly both. So if I do wind up working on that line, don't say I didn't warn you all.

Whether you're a fan or not, can we all agree that "Queer" by Garbage is Meg's theme song? Especially if you ship Meg/Cas, as I know some of you do.:)

Kink_bingo sign ups are supposed to start around 3 EST today, so I should have my card in my inbox by the time I get home --- or at the very least by the time I get back from church, which fills me with the lolz.

I am excite. Hopefully I won't completely fail to post anything during the actual challenge period like last year. (I did manage one solitary fix for amnesty, so at least I'm allowed a card this go round.)

Hey, you know how sometimes when you know you're coming down with a cold you get that sore throat right before? The burny kind, but not strep burny, just *blarg* burny?

So that was how my morning started. With *blarg*.

Y'know, it occurs to me there might be a fandom consensus on this puzzlement of mine: if an in-theory genderless energy being that's come to identify itself as male possesses a female body but still thinks of itself as male and then has sex with a dude, does that count as slash? I have no idea how to label this fic I plan to post in the next day or so.

Going to see Thor tonight (in...IMAX, I think? Pretty sure the 3D was voted down. Some format that made me feel like I was chopping off my arm and handing it over when I saw the price, anyway. This movie head better be filled with magic and joy, let me tell you.)

Will post a sleep-deprived review afterward.

Look, we cannot plot out five different stories at once. Stop it and pick one. Why are you even PLOTTING kink meme stories, anyway? They don't need...

ETA: So, is there a way to read and answer comments on the app, or will that be a next update feature like reading flists? Or am I just doing it wrong? I don't even want to admit how long it took me to figure out how to post.
