Is anyone interested in beta reading a Uriel-centric fic, mostly S4 with a little pre-series thrown in? It's about 4400 words, one-sided Uriel/Castiel, implied Dean/Castiel.

(because this is clearly what I'm supposed to be writing.)

I'm in dire need for a beta for my spn_reversebang. It's long, just under 33k, Dean/Cas and doesn't have any spoilers beyond S5. It's posts on the 21st and I'm getting a little desperate.

(Also, I have fics coming due for deancas_xmas, spn_in_space and jimmybigbang in the next couple of months, so if anyone is willing to hold still while I throw fics at them I'll be eternally grateful. Knowledge of Firefly appreciated.)

Anyone available? I will love you forever and ever.

thinlizzy2 is the one responsible for whipping my SPN fics into some semblance of quality. Unfortunately, like everyone who lives in Japan her time and priorities have taken a dramatic shift in the past week and she has more important things on her mind than helping me figure out whether I'm using too many semicolons.

I have SPN fics due in the next two weeks (both Dean/Cas), one for

dark_fest on the 29th and one for the Birthday challenge on the 1st. Is anyone interested in beta reading? I'm still writing the birthday story but the

dark_fest one is good to go. It's just a smidge under 7K and involves the after effects of torture (hey, it's

dark_fest), although nothing graphic happens on page.

I have ALSO done things! Writerly things! And so I beg my flist for two favors, one immediate and one for the end of the week:

1) I need someone who can do a quick-and-dirty beta on a White Collar/Firefly fic (It's for the Ficathon Walked Into a Bar challenge). It's gen and a little under 4K. This is supposed to go up tomorrow so I'm not asking for anything in depth, just a quick read-through to catch anything embarrassing. I know I have White Collar and Firefly fans out there on my flist.:)

2) In the next few days I will need a beta for a Watchmen/DCU crossover, by Friday at the absolute latest. Post-Final Crisis, Pre-Blackest Night, Wonder Woman fan is a plus. (OMG it's an Easter miracle!!!!)

Super Beta Extraordinaire

raggyanne's birthday just passed, so this is a belated congrats (lucky girl got a new season of Doctor Who as a present. Not bad, huh?).

She helps make my fic readable, so anyone out there who liked "Where You've Been" or "Coda" should drop her a line and tell her she's awesome.:)

I have two fics that have reached the despairing "nitpick them to death" stage, and it's time to take a step back.

Can anyone recommend a good beta? It's been forever since I've been in the fanfic game, and I wanted to ask for help here before throwing myself on the mercy of

beta_search.

The first fic is Heroes, around 1600 words, gen, focusing on Bennet right after the flashback shooting in "Company Man".

The second is Doctor Who, set between "The Doctor Dances" and "Boomtown." This one's long, with a 15K wordcount. It's got some Old Who mixed in, so ideally I need someone who's familiar with the older stuff and can tell me where I've gone astray.:)

I'm looking for pacing and characterization help, but I really just need another set of eyes at this point.
